We don't start cooking your order until you place it, so it always comes to you fresh and hot. In addition to a standard a la carte menu, TJ's features a unique menu of daily-changing specials scheduled four week in advance on a preprinted calendar. Each day's special menu offers a soup and two different entrees.

Customers love this. They pick up the new calendar as soon as it comes out, so they know what we'll be making on any given day.

TJ's, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, is the branchild of two single Swedes: (we are not a couple) Tony Johansson and business partner Anna Scholin, both Novato residents. Tony is the former owner of TJ's Gourmet Kitchen in San Rafael. Anna began her restaurant career in Sweden before coming to Novato 20 years ago.

Hours are Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday we are closed for our Catering Events.
